Neuschwanstein Castle:

My husband surprised me with a romantic hotel with a castle view, private spa, tickets to the Neuschwanstein Castle and breakfast in bed for my 20th birthday. He sure does know how to spoil me. This castle was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was under a lot of construction on the outside and the tour was short, but it was beautiful inside. The famous Disney Castle was inspired by Neuschwanstein. King Ludwig used to live there, but he mysteriously drowned with a colleague and died. He lived alone and preferred it that way. He had no wife or children. His castle was under construction on the inside before he passed, so he never got to see the finished work and because of his death his thrown was never built. There were a lot of wood decor and a swan in almost every room. He also had people paint Jesus and other religious stories on the walls. I would recommend the castle if you're looking for a short tour. There is also a bridge you can hike up to and look over the landscape and see the castle. It's very beautiful.
