Dachau Concentration Camp:

This camp is located in Munich. It was very interesting to see and read all the history behind the camp, but also sad to see. They had a book of names of Jews who had came to the camp. You were able to look through it and even type a name or last name into the computer to see if anyone you had known, had family members there. The camp was huge. Some buildings had bullets through the doors and walls. I'm not sure what the story is there, but it was interesting to see. There was a huge grave that had a lot of buried Jews. Now today, there are churches in the area for people to go pray and light candles for the fallen. You were able to visit the building they slept in, the building with the gas chambers and a historical building with more pictures and info on what had happened there. We ran out of time to be able to walk through the historical building and read the info, but I'm sure it was worth the read. Maybe one day we can visit again and get more knowledge on what had happened. Its a lot of walking, so bring your tennis shoes!
